Stress is something that we commonly talk about in our society. However, we rarely take time to define Stress. What is Stress? What causes Stress? How do we experience stress? Most importantly, what can we do to manage our stress? While stress is often discussed in terms of negative impact, it can be beneficial. A healthy level of stress is necessary for optimal performance. However, it is when stress interferes with our functioning, rather than optimizing our functioning, that we begin to experience harmful effects.
Today’s college student-athletes are facing challenges both on and off the field that are unparalleled in the history of intercollegiate athletics. Our Athletic Stress Management workshops for student-athletes are not your ordinary stress management programs. At OPA we can take a topic like Athletic Stress Management and turn it into a dynamic, very interactive, and fun session while at the same time each student-athlete will walk away with tangible stress management and life skills. Our comprehensive and proven stress management programs will:
- Help each student-athlete learn how to stay cool, calm, and focused under pressure
